Long runs you can actually move
Layflat hose in the UAE is used on the discharge side of a pump. Because the walls are thin and flexible, the hose collapses flat when it is not under pressure — which is what makes a 100 metre roll practical to transport, lay out and pick up again.
That matters on a dewatering job, where the discharge line often has to run a long distance across a site to an agreed discharge point, then be moved as the works advance.
Apex supplies layflat discharge hose rated to 4 bar working pressure in 3, 4, 6 and 8 inch bore, of Greek manufacture, in 100 metre rolls. Galvanised Miller and Bauer type fittings are stocked in matching sizes.

What pressure is layflat hose rated to?
Apex layflat discharge hose is rated to 4 bar working pressure across all four sizes. It is a discharge hose and must not be used on a pump's suction side, where it would collapse.
What length are the rolls?
All sizes are supplied in 100 metre rolls. Roll weight rises with bore: 75 kg for 3 inch through to 220 kg for 8 inch.
Which size should I use for a dewatering discharge line?
Size the discharge to the total flow being pumped and the length of the run, so that friction losses do not eat into the pump's available head. On a large deepwell system with several pumps discharging into a common line, 6 or 8 inch is usual.
What is the difference between header pipe and discharge pipe?
Header pipe carries mushroom outlets along its length so that wellpoint risers can be connected into it. Discharge pipe has no mushrooms — it just carries water away. Apex stocks both in 6 metre galvanised lengths with end couplings.
